Farm Safe Schools Overview

In first and second class, we have registered to take part in the Farm Safe Schools in conjunction with agri aware, argikids, the IFA and the department of agriculture, food and the marine.

There are three modules in this programme

Module 1: Farmer and Farmyard Safety

Module 2: Animal Safety

Module 3: Tractor Machinery and Safety

We have had some visitors to our classroom who talked to us about farm safety. Killian and Luna the lamb came to school to tell us about animal care and wellbeing. Sebana the farmer came to school with her tractor and explained some of the tractor safety rules to us.

We are so grateful to these people for giving up their time to come and visit us at school.
