STEMtacular 2026

Our 5th and 6th class travelled to Ballinamore in Co Leitrim on Thursday 26th February to take part in STEMtacular. With over 100 other projects on display we are delighted to share that Scoil Bhríde brought home the following two prestigious awards;

  • The Encirc Biodiversity Award ‘Threats to Bees’ By, Sophie Kearney, Sarah Plunkett, Cody Mc Philips and Charlie Mai Smith
  • The Intel Ireland Environmental Award ‘How to Make a Bee House’ By Aaron Farrelly and Ryan Gibson

All our pupils impressed the judges with their knowledge of biodiversity, sustainability and the important role bees play in our ecosystem.

We are incredibly proud of all our 5th and 6th class pupils for their hard work and dedication and how well they represented our school community.  A sincere thank you to Bernie O’Reilly from the ‘Bee Barn’ for sharing her expertise, to Ms Rahill for all her support and to you the parents for supporting the pupils to produce such wonderful projects.
