Christmas Week Activities

Christmas week was a busy one in 5th and 6th Class! We were delighted to walk to the village and meet local artist Colette Kearney in her pop-up shop. Colette very kindly showed us around her shop and talked us through her artwork and the process behind her work.  She also explained  the history behind the shop and that it was once a butcher’s shop. Thank you Colette!

We also joined with other children in the school to have a busking session on our yard at breaktime. Tinwhistle, flute, guitar and a music box were just some of the instruments played.

Cycle Right Safety Classes

Our 5th and 6th Class completed a 6 week cycle safety course with Cycle Right. The chidlren were taught how to move safely as a cyclist in complex and changing road environments in their locality.  Well done to all the children who completed the course with some on-road cycling.
