5th and 6th Class pupils participated in Space Week in October by creating new planets and describing their planets’ unique features in a written activity. They also engaged in a collaborative ‘STEM’ task to design a Space Station.

Slán agus Beannacht Rang a Sé!
On Monday 23rd June we had our end of year mass to mark the graduation of our 6th Class. Fr O’ Connor presented each pupil with their graduation certificates. Congratulations to a great 6th Class and we wish them all the best as they move into secondary school.

The girls from 3rd-6th Class tried out some rugby on Friday 4th April. Thank you kindly to Jon Watt from Virginia RFC who facilitated the session for the girls. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
World War II Projects
As part of their study of WWII, 5th and 6th Class pupils completed projects on various aspects of the War including; Ireland during World War II – The Emergency, The D-Day Landings, Attack on Pearl Harbor, The Story of Anne Frank, Aircrafts and Weapons, The Fate of Jews, Individual Study – Hitler and The Allies and Axis Powers. Pupils enjoyed and learned lots listening to their peers present their projects. In keeping with our theme of WWII, we are currently reading the novel ‘The boy in the Striped Pyjamas.
Seachtain na Gaeilge 2025
We had a lovely morning in Ballinacree last Friday as we celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge with a Cluiche Corr with our neighbours in Scoil Naomh Fiach.
A Big Week for 6th Class!
We have had an exciting week in 6th Class. On Monday 3rd March we received the Sacrament of Confirmation from Rev Bishop Tom Deenihan and on Thursday morning we had a breakfast morning in our sparkly new hoodies!
Thank you kindly to our Parent’s Association who covered the cost of the hoodies for our 6th Class. It is much appreciated.
Confirmation 2025
Congratulations to our 6th Class pupils who made their Confirmation on Monday 3rd March. Thank you to Ms Rahill for all her work and guidance in preparing them for the sacrament. We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide and direct them in the years ahead.
Peace Proms 2025
On Sunday 2nd February our 5th and 6th Class travelled to the RDS in Dublin to take part in the Peace Proms.
The children performed with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland and a host of top soloists in a concert on the day. The children sang with a choir of up to 3,000 children and worked with one of the UK’s leading professional conductors – Greg Beardsell. It was noisy but brilliant! Well done to the children on all their hard work learning all the songs and actions. 
Thank you to our Board of Management and Parents Association for subsidising the cost of the bus and thank you to our parents that travelled to see us, we hope you all enjoyed the show!
