On the Wednesday before our Easter holidays we bid farewell to Conor Gibson as he headed off to compete in  the World Irish Dancing Championships in Montreal. This is a fantastic achievement and all in our school community are very proud of Conor!

Peace Proms 2023

On Sunday 5th February our 5th and 6th Class travelled to the RDS in Dublin to take part in the Peace Proms.

The children performed with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland and a host of top soloists in a concert on the day. The children sang with a choir of up to 3,000 children and worked with one of the UK’s leading professional conductors – Greg Beardsell. It was noisy but brilliant! Thank you to our Board of Management and Parents Association for subsidising the cost of the bus and thank you to our parents that travelled to see us, we hope you all enjoyed the show!

Confirmation Class Of 2023

Congratulations to Anthony, Alex, Amelia, Brandon, Conor G, Conor B, Freya, Sadhbh, Lucy and Dylan who received the sacrament of Confirmation on Friday 3rd March.  We wish them every blessing in the years ahead and may the Gifts of the Holy Spirit guide them on their journey.

Christmas Art and Congratulations Anthony!

Below is a picture of our Northern Lights created with the use of chalk pastels. We also created and designed some Christmas cards for the residents of Sheelin Nursing home.It is important to remember those who can not spend Christmas in their own homes and we hope our cards will spread a little Christmas cheer.

5th and 6th Class created a Christmas scene with the words “Nollaig Shona ó Scoil Bhríde”. Congratulations to Anthony Heslin whose Christmas scene was chosen by our Tidy Village Committee and is now proudly on display outside our school!
