In Art, we created an Autumn display. We talked about the different types of trees and the animals preparing to hibernate. We went on a nature walk around the school with Mrs. McEvoy and collected different types of leaves for our art. We placed the various leaves on the paper and painted around them using autumnal colours to create an outline for each leaf. We also created hedgehogs for our Autumn display. Students coloured in hedgehogs, cut them out and stuck them onto a blue background. They also cut out triangles from different coloured card (red, orange and yellow) to represent the leaves that have fallen from the trees. The triangles were glued around the hedgehog to show the hedgehog hibernating amongst the leaves.
